Nude Beach

2025 · oil on canvas · 24 x 24 in

Warmth floods everything, edge to edge. Coral and salmon gather like flushed skin, pooling against ochre and cadmium yellow, while a few cool notes, blue, olive, lean in to hold the fever back. The figures rise and drown in the same breath: one reclines at the left, easy and certain, another stands guard at the right. Neither fully arrives, hovering in that fertile hush between flesh and pure paint, offered and withheld at once.
